Larry O’Bryan of Louisville, CEO and Political Media Consultant Lends a Hand to Teens in Need

Larry O'Bryan Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY, UNITED STATES, April 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Lawrence “Larry” J. O’Bryan embodies the American Dream to a tee. Born to a poor family, the Louisville, Kentucky native learned early on that the fruits of success are hard-earned. Now a successful businessman and former political media consultant, Larry O’Bryan of Louisville shares the bounty of his labor by giving back to his community.

Although Larry O’Bryan’s parents didn’t have much money and were not well-educated, they demonstrated that hard work, perseverance, and passion are the primary drivers of success.

"My father never went to school past seventh grade; my mother finished high school, but they were pretty much self-taught'" Larry O'Bryan of Louisville said. "They were successful buying old homes in disrepair in marginal neighborhoods in Louisville and my father was the handyman who would turn them into apartments."

Larry O'Bryan's parents, Charles and Ramona, were largely responsible for transforming The Highlands, once a marginal neighborhood, into the high-end community it is today. The pair enlisted the help of their five children to perform basic maintenance on the properties, paying the kids for their work instead of giving them an allowance.

When they weren’t contributing to the family business, the kids attended private Catholic schools. Charles and Ramona O’Bryan made their children's education a priority, even if it meant keeping a very tight budget elsewhere.

Larry O’Bryan of Louisville says his parents’ sacrifices inspired him to be the man he is today. Their inspiration is what prompted him to establish and contribute to an endowment fund at St. Xavier High School. The fund helps young men from impoverished families to attend the school and receive the same quality education Larry O’Bryan of Louisville did. One of Kentucky’s top political media consultants and founder of Pro-Active Media, Larry O’Bryan’s endowment fund gives special priority to young men who are interested in careers in journalism or media.

In addition to helming Pro-Active Media, Larry O’Bryan of Louisville is the CEO of TPC-KY, Inc., his label manufacturing company. The company is a key label supplier for several nationally recognized corporations.

Sue Haglind Talks About What to Look for in a Home Health Company

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA, UNITED STATES, April 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Nothing is more important than seeing our loved one cared for properly and compassionately. This becomes even more critical when the loved one can't care for himself and needs professional care at home. Unfortunately, there are a variety of standards when it comes to home health services. Here, Sue Haglind talks about some aspects of home health care you'll want to know about if you’re considering hiring one to help your loved one at home.

Most people hire home health agencies to help with their aging parents, begins Sue Haglind. It’s an option for people who just can’t get out of the house very easily to get the medical care they need, she says. Some professional nursing services a home health agency can provide are things like diabetic care, medication and pain management, wound care, or rehabilitative care. Personal care services can help with duties like bathing and feeding, she says. Finally, in-home care can include everyday things like grocery shopping and meal preparation, light housekeeping, grooming and dressing assistance, or simply companionship for those people who should not be left alone.

Home care agencies may or may not be licensed, depending on the state they’re in, says Sue Haglind. However, all home health care agencies must be licensed since the work they provide may include medical care, she adds.

“There are definitely some differences between home health agencies,” says Sue Haglind. While they all are required by law to perform certain tasks that the doctor has ordered, how they perform those tasks can make the difference between a happy client and a dissatisfied one.

If you have supplemental insurance coverage, you’ll want to make sure that all the services will be covered, says Sue Haglind. While Medicare and Medicaid may provide some coverage, they won’t cover 100%, she adds. Be sure to ask if there are any additional fees that could come up later, Sue says. You don’t want any surprises later when you least expect it. Plus, she adds, you’ll want to know exactly what the caregiver is supposed to do at each visit.

Make sure the agency you’re considering is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the case of emergency, Sue Haglind says. If you need to contact someone, you need to know they’re available.

You’ll want to know information on each of the caregivers that are coming into your home, she adds. So, be sure to ask how the agency hires the caretakers. Do they require and verify employment references? Is any extra training given to the employee? These are all things that are good to know.

In general, the representative should answer all your questions with compassion and concern, Sue Haglind says. This is especially true since it’s concerning the care of your loved ones, she adds.

Kenneth Haglind Discusses Considering Hospice Care for Your Loved One

Kenneth Haglind Lakeville

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA, UNITED STATES, April 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Making the decision for hospice care for your loved one is perhaps one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever have to make. “It’s an emotional time,” Kenneth Haglind says, “and it’s a time that’s especially hard on you as a family member.” For that reason, Ken Haglind says finding the right hospice care can go a long way in easing your worries. The agency you choose should be one that you’re completely comfortable with. Here, Kenneth Haglind talks about some things to consider when thinking about hospice care for your loved one.

Hospice care is end-of-life care, Kenneth Haglind begins. It is a time when the care shifts from medical curative and preventative care to focus primarily on palliative care, including comfort and relief of symptoms for the dying person.

Just because you’re choosing hospice care doesn’t mean you’re giving up, Ken Haglind says. It means you’re choosing your loved one’s welfare and comfort for their final days, he adds. It means you’re choosing to focus on quality of life instead of trying to cure a terminal illness. In the chance that your loved one recovers, he says, you can always change your mind and resume medical curative care. Patient choice is one of the many positive aspects about hospice.

Legally, hospice care can be ordered if the physician believes the patient has less than 6 months to live. However, we see far too many people starting hospice much too late, Kenneth Haglind says. Medical staff in the hospital can give palliative care, he adds, but hospice care is so much more than that. Hospice focuses on pain relief and relief from shortness of breath and other physical symptoms in addition to emotional and spiritual concerns, Ken Haglind explains.

The hospice team includes a physician and a nurse, a social worker, a home health aide, and a chaplain if needed. There are also volunteers which can assist with other things like running errands or even duties like light house cleaning. The physician is in charge of the medical plan, Kenneth Haglind says, and aides can help with things like bathing, dressing, and light cleaning chores. Social workers are available for the loved ones and caregivers, he adds, and it’s a very compassionate and caring team of professionals that provides support with hospice.

Hospice care can be in your home, Kenneth Haglind says, but it can also be provided at a hospital, nursing home, or another long-term care place. Almost everybody says it’s the best decision they could ever make for their loved ones.

Bruce Shibuya Explores How the Supply Chain is Being Disrupted

Bruce Shibuya

The Pandemic Has Led to a Considerable Impact in Supply Chains Across the Globe

THOUSAND OAKS, CA, UNITED STATES, April 25, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — All it takes is one company’s operations to impact the operations of many. Bruce Shibuya, previous Chief Operations Officer with Quanergy, has explored how supply chain management has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic around the country.

One of the areas where Bruce Shibuya shines is through predictive analytics. He understands that there are real-time analytics that can be used to explore the health of a supply chain. When the numbers aren’t there, there’s a reason behind them. Rather than looking at the productivity of its employees, however, companies need to see how their supply chain has been impacted.

As Bruce Shibuya explains, there is often what is known as a bullwhip effect being seen across many companies. This is when forecasts result in supply chain inefficiencies. Customer demand is stronger than what the inventory can manage. This is being seen in a number of different areas, including toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and more. It leads to inefficiencies all throughout the supply chain – customer, retailer, distributor, and all the way to the manufacturer.

Bruce Shibuya is a huge proponent of telling customers what the buying expectations have to be in order to manage the supply chain more effectively. When people “panic buy,” it depletes the inventory that stores have had in order to achieve balance. It will also result in too many of a particular product down the road as people are, then, forced to use what they have hoarded before needing to buy again.

Bruce Shibuya has suggested that it may take a while for the supply chain to stabilize. Much of this has to do with how some companies have had to slow down their operations because of not having enough healthy employees to work. Other companies have had to slow down operations because of where they obtain their supplies, including China.

When companies cannot get their raw materials, they cannot produce. When they cannot produce, distributors have nothing to distribute. It leaves store shelves empty and customers complaining. What little inventory is present is subject to higher prices because of supply and demand, as Bruce Shibuya explains.

Although the supply chains are being disrupted all over the globe, Bruce Shibuya has identified that there is a silver lining. Many companies are dedicated to helping people get what they need. As such, some companies have redesigned their productions to use other supplies to produce what is needed using JIT. Other companies are also changing the products they manufacture in order to meet the needs of American consumers.

Bruce Shibuya warns, too, that the supply chain may stay in a disrupted status for months to come.

On Top Of a Cloud Announces Placement with Rehegoo Music Group

On Top Of a Cloud Composer and Founder, Leland Thomas Faegre

On Top Of a Cloud Composer and Founder, Leland Thomas Faegre

On Top Of a Cloud Composer and Founder, Leland Thomas Faegre

The primary goal of Rehegoo is to promote undiscovered artists, allow their music to be heard and guarantee they are sufficiently rewarded for their artistry.

…his composition, arrangement, and production skills are so vast that supervisors will view each piece as independent islands.”

— Taxi

STATELINE, NV, US, April 24, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Top Of a Cloud is pleased to announce the placement of "Gypsies of Galatia" to Celtic Dreaming – Irish & Scottish Music, a compilation CD of various artists from Rehegoo Music Group, a Distribution Partner of AudioSparx [an industry-leading music library…that brings together a world of music…from thousands of independent music artists, producers, bands and publishers in a hot online marketplace] on the Rehegoo AS Records label.

Rehegoo Music Group is a globally recognized music publisher that specializes in producing and distributing the musical work of up and coming artists via digital music stores, streaming services and sync platforms.

Named Permanent Featured Artist by AudioSparx in 2016, On Top Of a Cloud Composer and Founder, Leland Thomas Faegre was delighted with the placement by Rehegoo Music Group:

"Previously licensed by 'An Ril Deal' [a traditional Irish dancing television show on the Irish television channel TG 4 that has been described as 'Ireland's answer to Strictly Come Dancing' on BBC 1] and others, I wrote 'Gypsies of Galatia' on a Kawaii K3 while living in Ireland in 1986-87."

The independent, statutory Irish language television channel TG 4 [Telifis na Gaeilge] has been broadcasting in the USA since 2014 to the 40 million strong Scots-Irish-American diaspora.

Faegre explained the historical influence for "Gypsies of Galatia":

"For the most part unknown as the historical origin of Celtic culture, Galatia 278-25 BCE came into existence when the territory was given to the two groups of Gauls by King Nicomedes I of Bithynia. It was perhaps my most prolific period [initial tracks for 'Pipes of Peace' were recorded there] being immersed in the environment of Celtic culture and imagery. But it was not until Christmas Eve 1989 that I first digitally recorded the basic tracks which have changed very little from their original parts."

Faegre continued, "'Gypsies of Galatia' developed along the harmonic structure of the introduction of the track. The I vi ii IV chord pattern established in the introduction creates the architecture for the production, and the instrumentation was selected to reflect the cultural imagery of gypsies that I had witnessed while living in Ireland."

TG 4 is a free-to-air channel, available across all the viewing platforms, with a strong viewer base throughout the island of Ireland. An average of 650,000 viewers a day watch TG4 in the Republic of Ireland. This daily figure exceeds 1 million people on major viewing days like Christmas Day and St. Patrick's Day.

Returning to the Celtic Dreaming – Irish & Scottish Music compilation placement, Faegre added:

"A modal motif [played by a lap dulcimer and uilleann pipe] provides a platform that made possible a confluence of instruments that also includes medieval or Praetorius bagpipe [named after the 16th century German musicologist, Michael Praetorius], bodhran, castanets, hurdy gurdy and tambourine to musically illustrate the nomadic nature of Galatian tribal history. Violas, Violins, low whistle, drums and bass complete the palette of this production."

Rehegoo Music Groups' fiercely passionate team is driven by a constant thirst for innovation and creativity with an extensive knowledge of cutting-edge developments in the field of music and technology.

In operation since 1996, AudioSparx specializes in licensing high-quality audio content to clients in film and TV production, game production, ad agencies and others needing world-class audio cues for their productions and projects. With a vast library of audio content now exceeding 780,000 tracks, AudioSparx has become the definitive site of choice for stock audio.

"It is wonderful to have AudioSparx working for the placement of music from our portfolio" said Leland Faegre, Founder of On Top Of a Cloud who, along with his daughter, Deirdre Leah Faegre, contributes to the company's catalog of music production.

Taxi, an independent artist and repertoire (A&R) firm that acts as a casting agent to the labels and Hollywood studios, describes "Gypsies of Galatia":

"The orchestral feel and form of this track brings lots of depth and fullness to the arrangement…The soundscapes are lush and crafted very nicely. The overall tone and texture is very cinematic…You're impressively all over the map as a composer…You certainly have all the skills and abilities of a first rate composer, arranger and orchestrator."

"Gypsies of Galatia" is available from iTunes, Amazon and many other fine stores:

Ana and Ann's fire within is brought to light by Candice Georgiadis

I was told it's impossible. I proved them wrong within two years.”

— Ana Flores, founder and CEO of #WeAllGrow Latina Network

GREENWICH, CT, USA, April 24, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Candice Georgiadis, owner of the blog by her namesake, interviews individuals on the cutting edge of hotel, travel, lifestyle and other similar topics. She expands the marketing footprint of individuals and companies with a combination of branding and imaging across social media and conventional websites.

When it is time to take your self or your company to the next level, Candice Georgiadis can put together a lasting impact marketing campaign. Specializing in online marketing avenues, she has helped countless people. Below are interviews of two people, and their companies, she has helped.

Ann McFerran, founder of Glamnetic
The beauty industry today has access to technology that was inconceivable only a short time ago. Can you tell us about the “cutting edge” (pardon the pun) technologies that you are working with or introducing? How do you think that will help people?

We took a common ingredient, iron oxide, which is commonly found in all colored cosmetics and FDA approved, and added it into an eyeliner to make it magnetic and magnetized to eyelashes. This new methodology of the lash application completely takes out messy lash glue from the equation. What’s even more exciting is we were able to make the liners hold almost as strong as glue, yet be gentle on the eyelashes and easy to remove, as well as paraben-free and prop 65 compliant. It glides on super smooth, ultra-black, with minimal waiting time before magnetizing lashes, and you can even take your magnetic lashes off and remagnetize them again for a hold as strong as the first application! The eyeliner took a long time to perfect but it’s something I’m extremely proud of now. For the lashes, I developed the world’s first 6 magnet lash and first colored magnetic lashes for magnetic liner. The 6 magnets allow for maximum trimmability and hold so users can trim the band down to fit any eye width. Historically, this lack of trimmability has been a huge issue with magnetic lashes. I was able to develop full, fluffy styles and am able to match any style that traditional lash falsies have which opens up an entirely new world of possibilities for someone that is normally unskilled at applying lash glue. As a result of this, we are shifting many girls who don’t know how to wear lashes and girls who wear glue typically, into our products and many customers literally buy every single style we have!

Can you share 3 things that most excite you about the “beauty-tech” industry?

The ability to have customers try on beauty products virtually. We have taken advantage of this and built a custom filter that will soon launch on the Instagram page (and will be implemented on our site) that lets customers try our 9 most popular lash styles along with a cute optional heart halo! Secondly, the data technology tools that Continually allow customized experiences for our users. Thirdly, due to personalization, it allows us to have a greater connection with our audience and make their needs feel understood.

Can you share 3 things that most concern you about the industry? If you had the ability to implement 3 ways to reform or improve the industry, what would you suggest? Catch the rest of this interview here.

Ana Flores, founder and CEO of #WeAllGrow Latina Network
Has there ever been a time that someone told you something was impossible, but you did it anyway? Can you share the story with us? What was your idea? What was the reaction of the naysayers? And how did you overcome that?

I feel that even more difficult than having someone tell you your idea or business is impossible is launching something that almost no one around you understands or sees any sort of value in. When I launched SpanglishBaby and Latina Bloggers Connect/#WeAllGrow Latina, I knew it in my gut and my whole body that I was onto something with so much potential that the possibilities for growth were unlimited and really depended on my own sense of value. Yet, blogging was still so new and being labeled as a “mom blogger” in many ways diminished our worth. In 2010 the influencer marketing industry didn’t really exist yet and saying that I was building a business connecting Latina bloggers with brands seemed so foreign and unimportant to most.

When I first received the inspiration for SpanglishBaby, I called two male friends and previous colleagues who were the only ones I knew who were creating content online for their corporate jobs. Both were in important decision-making positions and were struggling to get the budgets and appreciation to grow the online divisions of the media companies they worked with. I needed guidance and I knew they would be the only ones who would understand me. Armed with a recent, and likely the first, New York Times article about the explosion of mom blogs centered around the 2008 BlogHer conference, I called each one individually. I felt completely deflated after the calls. They didn’t outright tell me my idea and vision were impossible, they just didn’t get it and, maybe worse, they saw it as something nice for me to practically pass my time as a new mom but that I wouldn’t be able to monetize and scale.

I proved them wrong within two years.

In the end, how we’re all the naysayers proven wrong?

I quickly understood that I had to be my own biggest advocate and stubbornly believe in my vision. I had to find and create my own community of other women and Latinas that were also invested in their vision. We would become each other’s cheerleaders and mentors as we would uncover the path and together pave the road to a new industry that would eventually garner respect and value.

Within less than 5 years and with absolutely no investment funds, I had scaled the company to over one million in revenue and doubled it the next year. This is even a bigger deal when you know that only 1% of Latina-owned companies ever hit the 1-million-dollar revenue mark. And I did it. What an inspirational interview, catch the rest here.

Now that you have seen the people and companies that seek out Candice Georgiadis' help, it's time for you to drop her a line and see how she can help you and your company.

Bryan Jimenez, founder, brand strategist & creative director of the brand consulting firm Archimedes Strategic Branding,
Can you explain to our readers why it is important to invest resources and energy into building a brand, in addition to the general marketing and advertising efforts?

A well formulated brand can achieve a greater competitive advantage than its competitors. Some examples of organizations that understand the importance of brand building and thus invest accordingly are Apple, Amazon and Nike. Just take a moment to think about how far beyond their competitors they are! The reason this is possible is because the process of building a brand involves understanding the organization from a deeply strategic perspective, including discussing the vision, mission, organizational capabilities, audience needs, unique value proposition, differentiation, positioning, messaging, communications, and so forth. The brand building process creates an environment where insights, opportunities and competitive advantages can spring forth to be discovered and implemented, many times climaxing in one or several A-HA moments.

A well formulated brand can achieve higher levels of profitability. Acquiring deep knowledge of the brand allows organizations to know very clearly who they are, who they need to hire and partner with, what they are doing, when to do it, where they are, where they need to be, why it matters, and how to move forward. This in turn provides the brand with the information needed to craft superior value products, services, experiences, and messages that drive their customers to do business with them instead of with their competitors. This preference wins them larger market shares, creates strong customer loyalty which can greatly increase customer lifetime value, and can increases their price elasticity which can even allow for price increases. All these things in turn can nurture growth and expansion into other related or unrelated markets, bringing in previously inaccessible revenue streams.

A well formulated brand can build a large community of loyal fans. This used to be limited to celebrities, but in the age of social media now brands can build large fan bases. In my opinion this is a next-level way of doing business. It’s one thing to sell products and services, but it’s quite another to have your brand resonate so deeply with your audiences that they become your fans and brand advocates. “If people believe they share values with a company, they will stay loyal to the brand” said Howard Schultz, former CEO and chairman emeritus of Starbucks. Consumers have become increasingly sophisticated, having access to endless streams of information via the internet and access to their peers via social media. One key ingredient for building a brand is authenticity, and customers are more averse than ever about aligning with organizations that come off as inauthentic, salesy, or fake. Psychologically, customers prefer brands that are aligned with their own values, and these types of humanized value alignments make it easier for consumers to become fans. Fans can be like a captive audience and can act like your brand’s army of unofficial defenders, community managers, moderators, event planners, content generators, influencers, advertisers, referral drivers, traffic drivers, customer service reps, etc. Such a large community of fans can also bring with it a wealth of customer data, providing your organization with new information about your audiences preferences and behavior, as well as serving as a fertile playground for new ideas, new products and new services. Brand communities can also have a type of built-in PR opportunity apparatus, since brand loyalists share with each other tips & advice, success stories, and testimonials. Having a brand community also drives a self-perpetuating mechanism that reinforces the perception of high brand value, both for existing customers and for potential new customers, hence helping to continuously drive engagement and conversions. Authentic brands are also able to turn their own employees into loyal fans and brand ambassadors as well. The complete interview is available here.

Frédéric-Charles Petit, Chief Executive and Founder of Toluna
What advice would you give to other CEOs or founders to help their employees to thrive?

Be Bold. Be a person and a CEO who makes bold, brave moves. Think big and embrace change. People who take calculated risks will do better than those who are too safe.
It was a bold move when we entered the research industry, known for projects that could take months or even years. And we said that technology would change this. It is about automating the repetitive processes for gathering people’s opinions. It’s also about scale — reaching hundreds of thousands of people in different countries and time zones. And it is about doing it quickly with mobile apps and virtual focus groups. All this is obvious now. It was a bold move at the time. We revolutionized the industry.
Know Your Clients. Know what they are thinking and anticipate their needs before even they know what they want/need. If you are constantly with your clients, trying to understand their pressures and challenges, you are deepening your knowledge of their industry and their competitors’ business models and products, then you can never lose.
Celebrate. Enjoy and reflect on success. Too many times, companies are focused on the negative or what’s next. Take some time to reflect and celebrate. Toluna will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year and we are going to ensure we recognize that achievement across every level of the business. Every single employee is going to be commended for their passion, skill and commitment in getting us to where we are today. It’s a team effort. Learn more about team leadership here.
